Expert Systems for Specialized Applications

In addition to our ongoing task of refining STAR-CD, CD-adapco is involved in the development of specialized tools to deliver application-specific methodology for pre-processing, meshing and post-processing. Foremost among these is a range of “Expert System” tools, “es-tools”.

STAR-CD does of course independently perform all the types of analyses carried out by the es-tools, but this alternative approach, means that the focus is on capturing best practices within different applications, accuracy, the quickest turnaround time possible and on providing performance criteria.
